W. HallJones, requesting that the Factories Bill be dropped, as oppressive and injurious to the interests of. both employers and employed. A comnittee was set up to formulate objections to be sent by lette.. The objeci,; tions are to reducing hours, increasing holidays, and payment for holidays. The flour <■: • millers, woollen manufacturers, ironworkers, J', and boot manufacturers, spoke stronglly :; - against the new provisions.
