THE ROYAL VISIT.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. 1 London, July 21. The gunboat Thrush meets the Ophir and Royal party at Durban. THE DUKE AND DUCHESS AT PERTH. Perth, July 22. The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall landed at Albany, and proceeded by special train to Perth, arriving early this morning. The Britannic reached Albany at the same time as the Ophir, and the Royal party joined in the welcome to her returned soldiers. (Received July 23, 1.17 a.m.) Perth, July 22. The Governor and Ministers officially ■welcomed the Duke arid Ducfiess of Cornwall in the forenoon, and the procession passed through the gaily decorated and densely crowded streets from the railway station to the Town Hall, where the Mayor presented an address of welcome. The Duke afterwards reviewed ■ the friendly societies, and the Chinese and Afghan ' procession. An official dinner took place at • Government House. To-night the city was brilliantly illuminated. The display was imposing and the enthusiasm unbounded.
