-e Cby telegraph.—press association.] .. Gisjiorxe, Saturday. Kibk, captain of Kaiti football team, who was injured last Saturday by coming into collision with a member of his own team, ■ died this morning. He belonged to Hamilton, Waikato. Very deep regret has been expressed at Hamilton (writes our correspondent) at the death of Mr. Thomas Kirk, who died in the Gisborne Hospital on Saturday morning, as the result of an accident in the football field received on the previous Saturday. Great sympathy is felt for Mr. and Mrs. Kirk in the loss of their eldest son in such an unfortunate manner. The deceased was born at rirongia, and was educated at the Hamilton Hchool. On leaving school he was apprenticed to Mr. H. Howden, watchmaker of Hamilton. Shortly after the expiration of his indentures, some 12 months back, he accep- , - ted a position in Gisborne, and has resided there ever since. '•
