Sir, —I notice that the Premier lias wired to Mr. Napier that, the sifting of the arch in Queen-street to the citizens of Auckland was unuer the consideration of the Cabinet, Now. what is Ihe use of accepting this rubbishy structure. built of the most flimsy materials, and which rio doubt will tumble down of its own accord before two years have elapsed '! I have not heard that the citizens desire this g.ft, and I think we should refuse to accept it.—l am, etc., June 25, 1901. CITIZEN.
