We Colonial children greet yon; .Never have we seen old Hng'latul, Hut we hail her as our Mother, Hail her message you have brought us, Welcome ! Welcome ! We from Home would also greet you. To us, settlers iron, afar, you firing a breath of IY."ii.-it air; yon Make our hearts beat fast anil faster, Welcome ' Welcome ! And we greot you too. we Maoris, We. the i-Ui Id re ii of the White King. Lino and gifts we lay before yen. Truly of our he-it we oiler. Ilaerenuii ! Jlaereuiai ! These were the greetings they heard, as the hearts of the people Thrilled with a loyalty felt lons ago, now finding its utterance.
