COMMANDO'S SURRENDER FRUSTRATED.
London, June 20. Commandant Barraud. Venter had arranged with his commando of 100 to surrender, but one of his men informed General Badenhans, who imprisoned Venter. He and his two sons, however, escaped to the British lines at Merino.
