The wool sales have been resumed. The competition for merinos was spirited. Prices are from par to 5 per cent, higher. Crossbreds are neglected, and are o to 10 per cent, lower than at the March sales.

Nelson Brothers received the following cau.e irom the Colonial Consignment am. Distributing Company yesterday :—" Today's quotations: liesi Canterbury mutton, 4d"; Napier and North Island, 3d. Lamb, first quality, s id; second, sid." AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. There has been very little business doing in the local produce markets during the past week. In most lines supplies were bare. Potatoes, in sympathy with tho Southern markets, have advanced in price. In onions tho market is full of sprouted lots. Jiuttei is unchanged in price, and dairy make* are more plentiful. Eggs have been fairly plentiful and were dull of sale. Poultry realised higher prices. In fruit, apples sold at higher rates than last week. The Flora landed it heavy cargo of bananas trom Fiji on Wednesday, which realised fair prices. The following is a summary of the ices ruling at the auction sales yesterday: — Field Produce.— 2s 7d bushel; carrots, white. £1 to £1 as ton.
