OPERA HOUSE. "FbA Di.yvoi.o" was repeated at the Opera House last night by (lie Josephine Stanton Opera Company to a fair-sized house, who, judging by the applause, were, delighted with the fine presentation. Tonight "Dorcas" will bo staged for the first time in tins city, '•Dorcas" 'is an English musical comedy treating of scenes am. incidents in England. Tho comedy is by Hairy and. Edward 1 aidton who are well and favourably known. Miss Stanton will bo seen as Honor,, i. 'Dorcas" will also bo given to-morrow night, which will be the company's farewell. Tim curtain will not rise until half-past-, eight on Saturday night, allowing ample time for theatregoers to witness tho departure of the Duke and Duchess. At. the special matinee on Saturday at half-past two p.m. ' Said Pasha" will be given. This should prove even more popular than tho Wednesday matinee. which was packed to the walls.

DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY. Last night's unpropitious weather did not materially interfere with the attendance at the City Hall, and the items on a varied and interesting programme wore received with •■very manifestation of approval. Miss Irene Franklin'-; contributions secured the rapt attention of the audience, and Mi's Alma Gray was another great favourite, her charming singing, distinct enunciation, and c'.over dancing being a feature of the programme, ['ope and SayW. the American negro comedians, were chiefly responsible for the humorous portion of the entertainment. The- Tylerwere anothei strong attraction. THE JUBILEE SINGERS. At the Agricultural Hall last evening the Jubilee Singers gave another entertainment. The demonstrations of approval were frequent and hearty. The company appear again to-night. The box-plan is at Wildmaii and Lyell's, and day sale tickets at Williamson's. AUCKLAND LODGE NO. 2 U.A.O.D. At tho half-yearly meeting the Auckland Lodge, No. 2, U.A.0.D., was shown by the balance-sheet presented to he in a sound financial position, having a good credit ba)-" auco for the half-year, and transferring £40 from tho management fund to the sick and funeral fund. The following officer.* were duly elected:—Brother Bramley, A.D.; Brother Eraser, V.A. ; Brother Hunter. Secretary (re-olected); Brothers Loadbeator and Lekis, A. Bards; Brothers Light foot and Lftkis, V.A. Bards; Brother Fletcher, EG.; Brother Downey, O.G. The installation ceremony was performed by Brother W. Blomfield, assisted by Brother Lepine as mastei of ceremonies.
