Madrid, June 12. Christiana, Queen Regent of Spain, in opening the Cortes, announced proposed army, monetary circulation, municipal, find other reforms, the suppression of certain religious orders, a reduction in the number of bishops and see?;, the proceeds therefrom to be devoted to relieving country clergy. She appealed to the wisdom and union of the nation on the eve of King Alfonso's reign.
