PRODUCE MARKET. [BY TELEGBAPn. — ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. Mr Cameron, Government Produce Commissioner at London, reports that at the time of writing April 4, the cocksfoot market was still in an unsatisfactory state. There had been some speculative buying for next reason. Owing to shippers in Manila hemp pushing uales, Dip market had been affected unfavourably. The capture of Aguinaldo, and a consequent feeling that the war in the Philippines is probably nearly over, has caused a tendency towards lower prices Regarding outter. Mr Cameron reports that although tue period after Christinas is one of decline, prices at the time of writing were ruling 9s cwt above those of the corresponding period oat year He does not anticipate any hurried decline in price. Mr. Cameron has received a, promise that inquiries will be made m the colonv as to why the butter by the Rakaia. and the Papanui was stowed below the frozen meat, thus hindering prompt delivery.
