There was a large attendance from the neighbouring districts. The Rev. -Mr. Gibson, of Cambridge, presided, and the members of the Cambridge choir were present to assist in giving the rev. gentleman a hearty welcome, but unfortunately he was not there to be welcomed, having been unexpectedly detained in his late district. To get over the difficulty the Rev. Mr. Rogct.. who has been acting as locum tenens. acted as the Rev. >fr. Elliot's representative for tho occasion. The Rev. H. L. Rlamires, from Hamilton, was also present. A good and varied programme was gene through and much appreciated. An excellent supper was provided by the local lady workers of the church. At the close of the programme a hearty vote of thanks was given to the Rev. Mr. Blamires, the Rev. Mr Gibson, and the members of tho Cambridj-a choir.
