ACCIDENTAL DEATHS.
[BY TELEGRAPH,OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Paeroa, Wednesday. An inquest was held at Karaugahake this afternoon, before Mr. Nathan, acting-coro-ner, into the circumstances attending the death of Thomas Ellery, who was killed in the Crown mine yesterday. The evidence went to show that deceased must have gone to the pump, and looked over, forgetting for the moment about the balance bob overhead, which fell upon him, crushing his skull in, and knocking him down the incline to the level below. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death. " ' [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, Wednesday. -At the inquest on the body of an elderly man named Thomas Clark, who fell from a bow window of a house which he was painting, at Richmond, and who died a few minutes later, a verdict of accidental death was returned.
