CLOSE SETTLEMENT.
[BY telegraph.— association.] ■ Wairoa, Thursday. A largely-attended meeting passed a resolution urging on the Government that the time has arrived for close settlement in this district, for which purpose. .Duff's estate should be acquired -on the north side of the river, with Maori land along the WairoaFrasertown Road.
