LAWN TENNIS. The committee appointed by the Auckland' Lawn Tennis Association to manage tha matches for the boys' and girls'' championships (under 17), mot. on. Tuesday evening and decided that tho anal should bo played next Saturday, the 20th. inst. The boys' final, between Trevor Hull; . and Hector Morpeth, has been fixed fot half-, past one p.m. at the Eden and Epsom Club's lawns, and that for the girls, between Miss Daisy Udy and Miss Conte Biss, for two o'clock at tho Parnoll lawns. ' , Tlio final in the ladies' singles in. connection with the Cambridge Lawn Tennis Olub'a tournament was won by Mrs. Isherwood, who % . defeated Miss Gwynncth.—[Own Correspondent.] . AUCKLAND CYCLE ROADS LEAGUE. Tho following members of tho Council of the Auckland Cycle Roads League were present at tho last meeting: Messrs. P. A.Vailo (chairman), R. Noton, H. O. Choyce, W. G. Owen, C. E. Palmer, D. Dixon, g!' Henning, E. Bockaert, and tho secretary. Mr. 1 Bockaert was added to the Press Committee.* i Mr. J. Brown (Thames) wrote stating that very,j keen interest was being evinced in the pro->. grcss of the league, and enclosed a donation' to its funds. In consequonce of tho inclemency of the weather on Saturday last, it was decided to hold' the cycle path run next Saturday. Fine weather prevailing, thero is every prospect of a most successful gathering, as close on 150 cyclists gathered at tho Ponsonby reservoir last week, the muddy roads .notwithstanding. A long report from Miss Statham (assistant-secretary) showed that matters in connection with the Cycle Boards Bill were in a very forward state. CRICKET. ' TURANGA CREEK V. CLEVEDON. On Saturday last the Whitfield cricketers journeyed to Wairoa, and met the Clevedon Club, to whom they administered a defoafc 1 by un innings and 20 runs. Tho scores were:: —Whitford, 67 and Clovodon, 26 and 21, grand total 47. For the winners, R. R. Martin, B. Muir, and L. Mollcr obtained double figures, while L. Wall is and It. Mcars did likewise for the losers. After cricket, tennis was indulged in on the Wairoa Tennis Club's ground, and some interesting games played.
