This issue of the Auckland Weekly News is an admirable one for sending abroad. It shows both in its illustrations and letterpress a splendid example of dairy-farming in all its branches, and it shows on the route of the Stratford-Kawakawa line towns made by dairying and magnificent country excellently adapted for settlement. Some of the most important features of the Auckland Racing Club's autumn meeting are given; and there -is a fine series of groups showing the K?,wke's Bay section of the Seventh Contingent, the No. 2 division of the Auckland section, and the church parade held by the Seventh Contingent on the Sunday previous to its leaving New Zealand. Illustrations of the principal competitors at the New Zealand Rifle Association's meeting, Wanganui, are given, and show the crack shots of the country. A set of views which will attract considerable attention, are those depicting Maori life of to-day, and that beautiful spot where the Waikato and Waipa Rivers meet at Nga.ruawab.ia. A number of miscellaneous views, depicting interesting phases of New Zealand life, and showing typical scenery «"&re also given, which, supported by the abundant letterpress, makes the Weekly News not only the most attractive publication in the colony, bub certainly one of the very best papers for "sending abroad. Everyone who knows New Zealand recognises that such a paper as the Weekly News is the very best medium for advertising the attractions and resources of this country, and thousands are sent by every Home mail. The present number is now issued, and is in ample time for the outgoing 'Frisco boat. It. can be purchased from all agents and runners.
