[FROM Oini OWN CORRESPONDENTS..! CAMBRIDGE. THE animal meeting of Trinity Presbyterian Church was held last week. Reports from the session, Managing Committee, the treasurer, and. Sunday-schools (Cambridge and Bushy Park), wero submitted and adopted. These -were of a very encouraging nature, and showed progress in every department of the Church's work. The following officers, were elected for the ensuing year: —Committee: Messrs. J. Ferguson, R. Fisher, J. Scott, W. Grav, W. Perkins. J. Langmuir, A. Potts, K. Crickett, Jas. Anderson, R. Roberts, and J. Shaw: secretary. Mr. J. Dean; treasurer, Mr. T. Richards. Towards the close of tbo meeting, the Rev. Jno. Erwin, on behalf of the congregation, presented Miss Young with a numbt of volumes as a mark of their appreciation of her services as organist. Mr. John Fisher subsequently presented the Rev. Erwin with a pulpit robe, the gift of the ladies of the congregation. The rev. gentleman warmly thanked the ladies for their gift. Solos were rendered during the evening by Miss Dean and Mr. Richards. Reference was made to the fact that the minister emeritus (the Rev. W. Evans) was about to leave Cambridge, and a committee was appointed to arrange for a farewell meeting. Refreshments were then handed round, and the meeting was brought to a close.

TE AROHA. THE usual meeting of the Domain Board was held last Wednesday evening. A duplicate ol the lease of the mineral water from February 1 last, granted to Mr. Moss Davis, was presented by the Board's solicitor. Several old age pensioners were granted free baths Sor six months. It was decided to offer £5 reward for information as to the perpetrators of the damage to the octagon and drinking fountain. An offer from Mr. F. Lawn was gladly accepted to frame photos, of To Aro.ia and Domain, and get the same placed in the Beef ton Mechanics" Institute. A bonus or £7 lCs having been received towards the library, it was decided to augment this to £10, and to purchase suitable books; Messrs. Hirst, Bell, and Hill were appointed .to maKe the selection. The receipts for four weeks ending April 3 were:-Baths, £93 ,3s sd, towels. £7.18 lOd; library £1 Is: total, £01 6s 3d. being, an increase of £7 19s lid on the corresponding period last year, The financial statement showed cash in hand ana bank, £315 18s lOd; due by Government on lawn extension contract, £76 3s -7d: total, £392 2s sd. • Accounts owing, £125 .63 fu. Credit balance. £266 15s lOd. This being the last meeting of the present Board, a fteaity vote of thanks was passed to the chairman. Mr E. Gallagher, for the efficient way he bad fulfilled the duties during his term of office. The annual meeting of the members of the Te iroha Agricultural and Horticultural Society was bold on the 30th nit... at, winch there was a good attendance. Mr. A. Bowler, a vice-president, was in the chair. The report read showed the financial position to be good. The season begun with a debit balance of £13 8s 2d. and had closed with, a small credit balance after paying all prizes in full a.nd redeeming £5 worth of debentures. The prize-money paid totalled £109 15s 9d, and expenses had been. £50 lis liu. The entries, 608, were fewer than last year, hut the quality .of exhibits was better all round. After discussion it was decided to adhere to the present system of holding only one show for both agricultural and horticultural exhibits, but to alter the date of the show from January 29 to the second Thurs dav in February. Members' tickets were fixed nt 5s ami 10s 6d each, to admit two persons to & ground, and the latter to entitle holder to enter stock, at half-price. Mr. W. S. Allen was appointed patron; Mr. .
