, TE. AWAMUTU. " SOME .time back, at a meeting of the Te Awamutu branch of the Waikato Farmers' Club, a resolution wa% passed in favour of putting the dairying industry in the Te Awamutu, Kihikihi, and Rangiaohia districts on a cooperative footing, and a sub-committee was appointed to go into the matter. This committee has received an offer from a firm of dairymen, and a meeting was held on Tuesday evening to consider it. The offer was read, but the committee decided not to make it public at present. Besides the committee several suppliers were present. The terms offered are somewhat , more favourable than those now: current, and included the erection of a butter factory in the Te AwamutuOhaupo district. The proposals were rejected by the committee, but the matter is to be brought before the whole body of the milk suppliers in the neighbourhood. The feeling of the meeting appeared to be in favour of co-operation. "WAITETUNA
