MATOGRAPH. The interesting and impressive reproduction of the funeral of Queen Victoria by means of Messrs. Coopti- and Macdermott's kinematograph drew large audiences to the Opera House , yesterday, when both matinee arid evening performances were given. The spectators thoroughly appreciated the realistio scenes so vividly placed before them in connection with the journey to the Royal niau!?mF m ' A series of pictures illustratingThe Way of the Cross" was also shown, ami the entertainments proved most enjoyable. . DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.

Another fresh programme is to be submitted at the City Hall to-night. A feature will bo the first production of a new first part, "The Golden Gate," and the transformation scene,emblematical of the four seasons from "The Babes in the Wood." When produced as a part of the pantomime, this transformation gained hearty approbation from both press and public, and it should ■ prove a great attraction here. All the popular.,; favourites . are to. appear in rowitems. Mr. Wallace King will sing the beautiful ballad, ."With, You," and other numbers. Mr. Jim Marion will, introduce a rew budget of "Humorous Refrains," arid Mr. Harry Gray may be expected to cause great fun, as he introduces a number of excellent Mr. Harry Elliott is to.sing "Katie Clay," and do some of his original and clever dancing, whilst the Mintons introduce a new banjo selection and a new American buckdance. . Miss Clifford, Mr. Howard, Mr. John Collins, Miss Ivy Scott, and the De Yella Sisters also introduce new items.. On Monday the Leslie Bros, will reappear for a short season. .

MR. ALBERT LUCAS' CONCERTS. Mr. Albert Lucas commenced a short season at tho Agricultural Hall last night, with a most enjoyable and high-class entertainment, consisting of picture, song, and itory. The piece de resistance chosen for the initial programme was Wallace's beautiful story, "Ben Hur," pictorially illustrated. ,'Jh a recital of the main theme of this enticing story of the days of the Saviour, Mr. Lucas found full scope for the display of his gifted elocutionary style. Ho gave a cleverly woven outline cf the story, introducing the most prominent scenes in the book, and so delivering the eloquent and poetical lines in which they were told as to make a marked impression upon his hearers. The programme also included a series of views illustrative of the Queen's funeral, which were described in an impressive manner by, Mr. Lucas, and had their due effect. Mr. 0. A. Thorley gave excellent renditions of "The Star of Bethlehem," "The Holy City," and The Land of Rest." Two selections on the collosophone, " Rock of Ages " and "Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep/' completed ah altogether excellent and appropriate programme. Tonight the entertainment will comprise "The Romance of the Scarlet Letter . and "Deeds That Made |he Empire Groat," in addition to musical and pictorial items.

PROFESSOR NEWMAN'S PALACE OF WONDERS. During yesterday afternoon. and evening, Professor Newman's Palace of Wonders, situated at the upper end of Queen-street, attracted a large number of visitors. _ One of the chief attractions in tho exhibition is a cleverly-constructed working model of Dawson City. This shows the miners at work delving for gold in their respective; claims, and the windlasses, buckets, and other.mining paraphernalia in use. There is also shown a realistic figure representing Cleopatra in .toe act, of sacrificing her life, by permitting , a snake to inject its poison into her breast. Several other novelties are exhibited.
