THE WELLINGTON MAORI SCHOOL.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.]

Wellington, Monday. Tirr, Appeal Court opened to-day with the case Solicitor-General v. Wallis.* This was an application by the Solicitor-General to file further affidavits in the case of a reserve vested in the Bishop of Wellington and others as trustees, for the purpose of a Maori school. The Solicitor-Gieneral applied to file further documents showing objections by the natives concerned to the decree made in the Supreme Court by the Chief Justice and Justice Edwards. The application was opposed, but the Court allowed it on the

ground that the matter was one of public interest, and that the question should be Snally disposed of on all available evidence.
