Walters' is a mild case of plague. Perth, March 15. Two fresh cases of plague are reported Charles Findlay, residing in Newcastlestreet, and Ernest Locke, a member of the Assembly, residing with the Colonial UnderSecretary. The other patients are doing well. No infected rats have been'found : in Perth yet. WEST AUSTRALIAN PARLIAMENT. Perth, March 15. ■ Parliament will be dissolved to-morrow, MOUNT LYELL RETURNS. Melbourne, March 15. The Mount LyelL returns from February 7 to March 6 inclusive, show that 18,336 tons of ore were treated, also 7288 tons of purchased ore and fluxes. The converters produced 675 tons blister copper, containing 666 tons of copper, 45,242 ounces of silver, and 1679 ounces of gold. THE WEATHER IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Sydney, March 15. Good rains are general throughout the colony. A south-east gale is blowing on the coast. THE OPENING OF THE FEDERAL PARLIAMENT. Sydney, March 15. The Natal Premier will be unable to attend the opening of the Federal Parliament, but the Ministry will be represented. Mr. Frost, a Minister without portfolio, will represent Cape Colony. ~j : -' THE FEDERATION COMMISSION. Sydney, March 15. The New Zealand Federation. Commissioners saw Mr. Barton's private secretary, and arranged to confer with Mr. Barton when he returns from the country. They expect to spend about 10 days.in Sydney collecting evidence. It is understood that the proceedings -will be held with closed doors. THE COAL LUMPERS' DISPUTE. Sydney, March 15. There is a probability of the Seamen's Union joining issue with the co'al lumpers if the latter are locked out.
