By Telegraph.-Press Association.-Copyriglit.

Melbourne, March 9. The V.R.C. brought their autumn meeting to a. conclusion to-day at *lemin:;ton. Ine weather was very hot, and this senousiy affected the attendance, ; The racing throughout was of an interesting character. The New Zealand champion Advance was pulled out for the All-aged Stakes, for which race odds were laid on his ability to win. He had, however, to strike his colours to Malster, who won by a length. In the opinion of some, Advance suffered from indifferent riding. The Loch Plate was summed up in favour of La Carabine, odds of seven to four being laid on her ability to win.
