London, February 20. Sir Michael Hicks-Beach, Chancellor of the Exchequer, stated in the House of Commons that he was unable to indicate the date on which he. would deliver the Budget speech. The haste to evade taxation was possibly premature.
A firm at Bristol gave a cheque potmds to pay duty on tobacco removed from bond.
