TREATMENT OF INEBRIATES.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRiSTCHTjitoir, Wednesday. A special meeting of the Hospital Board was held to-day to consider the questions of providing accommodation for inebriates and the admission of chronic cases. The following motions were carried after a good deal of discussion :—" That a room or rooms should be provided in the hospital for patients suffering from drink;" "That in the opinion of this Board, it is necessary to make provision for cases of chronic and incurable disease occurring in this district, and the most suitable provision would be by the erection of a special ward at this hospital." A copy of this resolution is to be forwarded to the Minister for Health, together with the information asked for by him..
