M... MiFdura leaves port this morning at 330 for Wellington direct. The Pukaki finished discharging her cargo of coal into the Abarenda yesterday, aid left during the afternoon for Napier, whence she takes sheep to Lyttelton. Yesterday afternoon the French barque Max •pas towed to an anchorage in the stream, where she waits a favourable wind to get awav on her voyage to Glasgow. _ The schooner Sir Henry, from Timaru with produce, which left Timaru on the 9th inst., reached port at 11 a.m. yesterday. Captain Taos. Clarkson, who was last here in the Hercules, is now master , At daylight vesterday the Tyser liner Star of New "Zealand left for Gi&borne. The Union Company's steamer Omapere arrived from East Coast bays at two yesterday afternoon with 80 tons of general cargo.
THE TE ANAU. The steamer Te Anau left Gi3borne for Auckland short]v after noon yesterday with pa"=»ngers <'ind cargo, and should arrive between 1 and 2 o'clock to-day. She returns South again on Saturday, sailing at 3 p.m.
THE TAVIUNI. The Union Company's steamer Taviuni arrived in Auckland at 7 a.m. yesterday from Fiji. She left Levuka on the 13th. called at Cuvu. Laknri, and Karen for fruit, and took her final departure from Suva on the 16th at 1 a.m ; was abreast of Mokohinau light at 2 a.m. on the 20th, and reached Auckland as above. She experienced light north-east winds throughout the, voyage. The steamer, which has 5155 bunches bananas and 3527 'cases of fruit for the South, left for Wellington yesterday evening. THE RIMUTAKA. The New Zealand Shipping Company's new Steamer Rirnutaka, from London, via Hobart iiud Wellington, left the last-mentioned port for Auckland at about neon yesterday. She has a number of passengers and a large cargo for this port, and arrives to-morrow. Captain Grecnstreet, a very popular captain on the New Zealand-England run, is in command. The Rimutaka is a much larger vessel than the company's old boat of that name, 'and is said to be very finely appointed. She remains in port four or five days. THE WAIKARE. On Sunday next the Union Company's fine steamer Waikare. which has been placed on the Dhnedin to Sydney, via East Coast run, arrives in Auckland. She has called at Auckland when making an excursion to the South Pacific Islands, but her next visit will bo the first she has made while in the intercolonial trade. The Union Company's steamer Takapuna arrived at 9 a.m. yesterday from Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. The Northern Company's steamers Gairloch and Kanieri arrived yesterday, the former from New Plymouth, and the latter from Waitara. The Gairloch left again in the evening for New Plymouth with a cargo of sheep. The s.s. Pilot, having in tow the barquentine May, arrived yesterday from Kaipara. The Northern Company's steamer Ngapuhi left yesterday afternoon for New Plymouth.
