THE WOOL SALES.

PRICES STILL RULING LOW. Tats third and'concluding sale of the season, under the auspices of the Auckland Woolbrokers' Association, was held at tho Wool .Exchange, Albert-street, on Tuesday forenoon, the buyers present including Messrs. Murgatroyd (representing Southern firms), Turnbull (Christehurch), Ireland Brothers, Parker (Onehunga Woollen Mills), Warnock Brothers, Donald, and C. Wood. , The three auctioneering firms interested- submitted catalogues totalling about 1800 bales, the bulk of which was quitted under tho hnmmei. Being the end of the season the wool on the whole was not quite up to that" submitted at the earlier sales, under which circumstances it may bo said that prices all round ruled much about the same. Best halfbrcd readied 53d per lb, crossbred fleeces averaged about 4£d, the coarser and poorer clips 4d, while lambswool sold from 33, d to 5-] d. Mr. Kings well commenced the sale on behalf of Messrs. G. W. Binney and Sons, the top price realised by tho firm being for a clip of fine crossbred wool, which brought s]d per lb, though lots were passed with 11 higher reserve. Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons' catalogue was next submit Mr. J. Seagal- Bucklahd occupying the rostrum. For halfbred merino 5Jd was obtained, three bales of threequartcrbred merino brought Sid, a.nd lambswool touched sid. Tho sale closed with the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's catalogue, Mr. 11. O. Nrlan "selling.
