CITY VALUATIONS.

AN INCREASE OF £23,015.

The city valuation lists for 1901-1902, have just been completed by the city valuer. The total valuation for the city is £352.177, this being £23,015 of an increase over the figures returned for last year, viz., £329,162. The total may be reduced, in the Assessment Court, but as the comparison is made with last-year's figures before they passed through the Court, the figure of £23,015 may be fairly taken as representing the increase for the year. At the present rate this will give the city an additional annual revenue of £2935. Following are new valuations of the various wards, which all show increased values : — EastWard £108,116 South Ward 60,825 Ponsonby Ward 55,506 North Ward 80.129 Karangahape Ward 29,351 Grafton Ward 18,250 Total £352,177
