YACHT RACES AT WELLINGTON.

RAINBOW DEFEATED BY WAITANGI. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] - Wellington, Saturday. At the Port Nicholson Yacht Club's races to-day the yacht Waitangi easily defeated the Auckland boat Rainbow over a 13-mile course in a one-reef breeze. Starling 2m. ss. after Rainbow, Waitangi finished 2m. 41s. in front, and as the latter was in receipt of 10m. time allowance, she therefore won by 14m. 465. Rainbow was sailed by Mr. E. C. E Mills and Waitangi by Mr. D. Howard.
