THE ISOLA. The barque Isola. Captain A. Campbell, arrived from Newcastle yesterday morning, and anchored in the stream for inspection by the health officer, who visited the vessel in the afternoon, and granted her pratique. The master reports sailing from Newcastle on the 14th inst., and experienced strong soutlT to south-west winds to the Three Kings, which were passed on the 25th: thence down the coast hard south-west gales, the gulf being made on the night of the 27th, but the wind being strong ahead, she anchored under Bangitoto, coming into harbour yesterday. THE NORTHERN CHIEF, The barque Northern Chief, Captain John Mackay, arrived from Wollongong yesterday morning, with a cargo of coal and machinery for the Colonial Sugar Refining Company. The master reports sailing from Wollongong on the 15th hist., and experienced strong south to south-east winds to the North Cape, which was passed on the 26th; thence strong south-west gales prevailed until making Tiritm on the evening of the 27th, followed by light south-west winds to arrival. The Northern Chief proceeds up to Chelsea ibis morning to discharge, and on completion sails for Kaipara to load timber for"Sydney.
