There were in the lockup last evening, two prisoners, Robert Sutherland, en route fox Wellington, on a charge of disobeying an order of the Court; and John Joseph Callanan, on a charge of being on>licensed premises during the currency 01 a prohibition order.
The Infantry Battalion and the "A" Battery, now. in camp in the Domain, will attend a church parade in St. Mary's Cathedral on Sunday at eleven a.m. The full programme in connection with the complimentary concert which takes place in the Opera House next Tuesday evening, appears in our advertising columns to-day. The programme, which is a most attractive one, includes several original items of special interest, notably those by Mr. Frank M. Clark, Mr. Henr> Gray, and the Rev. Dr. Egan himself. A special announcement is made regarding booking of seats, which intending patrons would do well to note. The Presbyterian children in Auckland, city and suburbs hold a united demonstration on Iriday first in St. James' Hall, when the Sabbath-school prizes will be presented. The programme is an unusually attractive one, being contributed to by representatives from the various schools. A sacred solo will be sung by Mrs. W. M. Oatts, niece of Dr. Horatius Bouar, the famous hymn-writer. It is to be hoped that tho Presbyterian public will loyally support their young people'e gathering. The Auckland Banjo Club's grand concert will be held in the Opera House on Monday, Dcccmbei 10.
