The first concert of the season of the rppsonhy Musical Society will be given in All Saints' Church cn Thursday evening next. Tim piece to be produced is Cowen's cantata, " The ftosT Maiden," under the conduetor.ship of Mr. Leslie Hunt, Mrs. Iveave being pianist. Th soloists are Madam Chambers, Mrs. Sim, Mr. A. L. Edwards, and Mr. Wilfred Manning. The Rev. E. Tremayno Dnnstan will give hi-, second lecture cnterta.v.ment, " i'he Old Folks at Home," in the Y.M.C.A. lecture hall, on Monday evening next. The liov. E. Tremayno Dunstan, of Sydney, who has resided at the Cape, will deliver a popular address on " The Moral Issues of the South African War," in the Beresford-street Congregational Church, tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at 3 o'clock. On Monday evening next at the Y.M.C.A. the reverend gentleman gives the second of his delightful lecture entertainments, entitled "The Old Folks at Home." A grand concert will be given in the Opera House on Friday evening by the Na-pier-street school. There will bo character songs, niggei choruses, bayonet drill, and Indian clubs, with limelight effects. The ecclesiastical notices appear in another column. At St. Paul's on Sunday evening Mrs. Coates will sing as an offertory solo, "The Voice of .Testis." The Rev. Ivo E. Bertram, M.A., will preach at St. Andrew's Church to-morrow. At St. Stephen's Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Oatts wil l take part in the evening service if tho;> arrive from Sydney. There will be a splendid Thanksgiving and Gift Sunday to-morrow at the Wesleyan churches. In the evening at Pittstreet, the Rev. W. J. Williams vill hold a memorial service for the late Mi. Daniel Caley, the anthem beiii u , "Vital Spark," and 'in the evening at St. John's. Ponsonby, a memorial service for the late Rev. E. Best In the evening at the Unitarian Church, Oddfellows' Hall. Cook-street, the Rev Win. Jellie, will lecture on Mario Corelli's " Maste, Christian." To-morrow evening in the Theosophical Rooms, Dr. A. Marques will lecture upon the forms.which the vibratiors of various sounds present to the eye of the clairvoyant.
