A VERDICT OP NOT GUILTY. [Br TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Wellington, Thursday, The Crown Prosecutor intimated this morning that he did not intend to proceed with the remaining charges against Brother Kilian. The trial of Edward Forrier (Brother Wybertus) on a charge of indecent assault on a lad named Wm. Hardwick, formerly an inmate of the Stoke School, but now at Burnham, began before Judge Edwards tais morning. Hardwick, in examination, admitted discrepancies between his statement of to-day and those he made in the Magistrate Court. At the conclusion of his evidence, the Judge, in answer to the Crnvn Prosecutor, said he would not hang a cat upon such evidence. Mr. Bell tendered no further witnesses, and the jury, at His Honor's direction, returned a verdict of not guilty.
