Drunkenness: For being drunk in a public place one first offender was convicted and discharged; and another was fined 10r, in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Thomas gi ( ]jrrovo was fined ss, in default 24- hours' imprisonment, and Arthur McLean was fined 5?, niid ordered to pay cab faro amounting to 2s'&d. , , Theft: For stealing one pair of trousers, value 8?, the property of Thomas Roxburgh, and one clock, value 4s 6d, the property of Archibald Johnstone, .Tames Milne, an old offender, was sentenced to tlireo months' imprisonment with hard labour. Adjourned: Tho hearing of 1 " a charge against Nettie May Andrews, of having, on jCovcmber 7, stolen a letter containing a cheque for 10s, tho property. of the Post-master-General, was adjourned until Saturday next.
