ACCIDENTS TO MINERS.
rpy TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Waiiii, Saturday. Paul Williams was going on the night shift at the Grand Junction mine on Thursday last, when he accidentally slipped over an embankment. lie was rendered unconscious, being found some time afterwards by a party ot miners who were passing. He was conveyed home and Dr. Porter's services promptly obtained. An examination allowed that his shoulder had been dislocate!, and there were several bruises to the shoulder and neck. The patient suffered considerable pain, but is now progressing satisfactorily. Much sympathy h felt for Williams, who takes an active interest in Sunday-school work. A man named Johnson received a nasty scalp wound while working in the Grand Junction shaft 011 Friday evening, through a small hammer falling from a hill some 20ft above him, and striking his head. Dr. Forbes was summoned, and stitched tho wound. Johnson had recovered sufficiently to resume work to-day.
