A TEMPESTUOUS VOYAGE.
[B£ telegraph.PßESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. The barque Star of the East, which arrived to-day from New York after a passage of 116 days, had a most tempestuous voyage. The decks were continually flooded during the run from the meridian of the Cape of Good Hope. While the tug was picking the barque up at the Heads in a heavy sea the towtine parted, and she drifted to within 50yds of Barrett's Reef, being brought up by an anchor. The crew arrived in an exhausted condition, as a result of the hardships of the voyage.
