_ Mr. Joseph Bowmar, of Kaiwaka, criti-. cises the letter of Mr. Jackman re Mr. Seel'-': don, and the way in which ho has dealt with the extension of the railway to the North of; Auckland. Mr. Jackman, he says, came back* from his mission to Wellington saying that Mr. Seddon had made a definite promise— : i that came, in fact, to £15,000, and £5000 of that was unspent from last year's vote. Mr. Seddon had euchred Mr. Jackman and the j North of Auckland.
