WAS BROUGHT UP BY HAND
HOW SCOTT'S EMULSION BENEFITED A LITTLE BOY IN SURREY. The superiority of Scott's Emulsion over other forms of cod liver oil could not bo rny more clearly demonstrated than in tho caso of a little child in Surrey, who, owing to a severe illness of the mother, had to no brought up by hand. The father of the child, Mr. I H. Kent, tells ;n a few words tho histor of tho case. He says: — 11 267, Romany Road, "West Norwood, Surrey, England, " October 21, 1898. " Dear Sirs,—lt gives me great pleasure to (ell you how very beneficial Scott's Emulsion lias been to my little son. Ho was a strong child whan he was born, but owing to :.'no misfortune of his mother having a severe illness, we were obliged 10 bring him up by hand, and in consequent*) lie did not thrive, but got very weak. Our doctor ordered cod liver oil for him, but he was too weak t*> , digest it, and could not retain it on bis storr.acn. Seeing, however, that Scott's Emulsion contained cod liver oil, I determined to try the preparation, and finding that it agreed with my boy, 1 continued its use, and have proved it to be a substantial food, for bo has progress,] m health and strength, : nil is altogether a different child since taking Scott's Emulsion. I must sav I think it a very valuable preparation, and one that cannot be too widely known, for by its use I bolievo very many children could lie saved much suffering. 1 shall recommend Scott"3 Emulsion whenever 1 have an opportunity. "In gratitude, believe me, yours very sincerely, " (Signed) H. KENT.' 1 Tho foregoing was a typical case for tho Scott's Emulsion treatment. Peoplo make the mistake every day of giving to childi-u forms of cod liver oil which they cannjt digest, and all of this difficulty could bo avoided if thoy would give them Scott's Emui sion instead. '] his preparation combines cod liver oil, hypophosphites, and glycerine, each of theso substances boincf standard rcmcdio?, endorsed by the medical profession.
