CROWN LANDS BOARD.

The ordinary meeting of the Crown Lands Board was held yesterday. There were present: Mr. Gerhard Mueller (tho chairman), and Messrs. D. Lundon and J. Renshaw. Lands Disposed of: A nummary of lands disposed of showed thai 49,378 acres had boon disposed of to 110 coleetors, from Juno 16 last to tho 24th inst

Thirds: Schemes for expenditure of thirds wcro received from the To Puke, Waitoa, Tauhca, Kaukapakapa, Komokoriki, and Tamaid East Road Boards, and agreed to. _ Mining Districts: Tho following applications woro granted under tho Mining Districts Occupation Act, 1894:-John Ross, 100 acres, Tairua survey district; Mander and Bradley, 15 acres, Block VII., Hukorenui, rental, £7 10s per annum; John Fairbum, 10 bores, Block XVI., Ohinemnri, rental £2 por annum; A. A. Ellis, 25 acres, Block XV, Tairua, rental £2 per annum. Comotery: A grant of section 4, Block IV., Waihou, was made to tho Thames County for cemetery purposes.

Waipmoira: It was resolved to throw open for selection in two sections at 10s per aero, the land ocoupied by Mr. Jas Kelly, at V/niparoira, tho occupied section to be charged with £75, tho value of improvements effected. To Kuri: An application by William Andrew for 1000 acres in tho To Kuri parish was granted.

School Reserve: A reservation of suburban sections, 51 to 70, Whatawhata, containing one rood each, was made on tlio application of tlio Secretary for Education for playground purposes.

Timber Flotage: A renewal of a timber flotage license over tin Waitawhota River and its tributaries was granted to the Kauri Timber Ooinpany. A renewal was also granted to Thomas Ringroso to float over tlio Wairoa River and its tributaries, with a restriction against floating across milway reserves. An application for a licenso to float over the Waipu River by Duncan McKcnzio was deferred, in order that a proper plan might bo furnished by him.

Puhipuhi: A lease of 50 acros of tho Puhipuhi forest was granted under section 16 of the Land Act, to Norman Campbell, at a rental of £2 per aore, the losseo to have tho right to remove fences or buildings within 30 days if land required to bo resumed, A lease of 100 acres was also granted to T. Mitchell at £2 por annum. A year-to-year lease of 500 acres of the same forest was granted to Wm. Cle;iry at a rontal of £5 per annum.

Leases in Perpotuity; Applications for leases in perpetuity within the mining district in tho parish of Ruapekapeka wore granted as follows :-E.;T. Brightwcll, 275 acres; J. Bright, 132 acres; G. Johnston, 264 acres; A. Wanstall, 264 acres; R. 0. Bowick, 362 aorcs; A. Bowick, 506 acres; and J. Jarvis, 308 acres; also a lease of section 4, Blook 11., Whangarei, to Geo. Cadman, ■ ■ ■•»"'.
