[PHOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENTS.] CAMBRIDGE. A MEETING of the Cambridge Road Board was held on Saturday. Present: Messrs, Jas. Taylor (chairman), J. Mays, W. H. Thomas, and J. L. Edson. Two applications were received for the position of inspector of nuisances, Mr. H. Fitagorald being successful. The salary was feed at £5 per annum. ' A petition was received from a number of Fencoutt settlers, asking that several specified portions of the Ziz-zag Road he gravelled Another potition, signed by Chas, Ashwin and several others, was received, asking that a, portion of the road alongside tho Foncourt railway station be formed. It was stated that the funds of the Board were in a depressed condition, and, coupled with this, it was the wrong time of the year to undertake any such work as that asked by the petitioners, so the two letters were merely received. Several Email accounts were pissed for payment. ■ A meeting of the Pnkekiira Road Board was held m the Oddfellows' Hall, Cambridge on Saturday. Present: Messrs. ,R. Fisher (chairman). E. Allen, T. W alter, and W. White. T. Powell wrote agreeing to the Board's request to allow access through his . land on to the l'nalii -Road. It was agreed to accede to the request of 11. Gilos for haif-a»dozeiL Sin pipea, in order to allow him access to his property. It was resolved to ; proceed with the construcJ£ on . of a culvert at the foot of Bell and' Tucker s Hill,; the ; work to be left in the nanus, of the chairman ! and Mr. iT. Walker.'
