LEAGUE OF NEW ZEALAND WHEELMEN.
[BY TELEGBArn".— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, Monday. At a meetin 0 of the Council of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen to-night, an application was received from Hokitika to allow two riders to take part in a private match. It was decided to reply that the Council was opposed to the holding of private matches, but had no objection to tho local club giving e prize tor the two men to race tor under its supervision. The secretary reported that a numboi of clubs bad not paid their subscriptions to the Council for the current year. It was decided to write to the defaulting clubs informing them that unless* payment were made they and their individual members would be debarred from all the privileges of the league.
