Tho Musical Malineo Society's first concert of tho soason is advertised for this afternoon at St. Sopulchre's Parish Hall, commencing at three o'clock. Tho programme is an attractive ono, and will no doubt secure a large audience. Future matinees are to ho hold on the third Wednesday of each month. # The complimentary concert to Miss Jennie Pollock takes placo this ovening at St. James' Hall, Wellington-street. As this is tho last timo Miss Pollock will appear in Auckland as an elocutionist, it is anticipated that there will bo a bumper house. The sale of tickets has gone off remarkably well. An excellent programme has been arranged, and all the leading local artists aro generously giving their services for tho occasion, in order to giyo the talented young lady a good send-off. Miss Pollock is leaving for Sydney at tho end of the prosont month, as that city will bo her future home.
