To-morrow night the Auckland Liedortafel give tlio first concert of the season. Intending subscribers should loso no time in giving their names to the secretary, Mr. Syd. J. Harbutt, eo that they may receive their tickets. Tlio Now Zealand Literary and Historical Association open the second session of their literary evenings at tho Harbour Board room this evening, when, after a little business has been attended to, some interesting papers will bo given by members on Maori picturewriting and Maori placo names. As thore have been many inquiries as to when theso popular gatherings will recommence, a large attendance is expected. The National Singlo Tax League holds a public mooting this evening for discussing the necessity of adopting the Rating on Unimproved Values Act in this city, and invites nil persons interested to attend and take part in it.
