Tho Bank of England returns published to-day show the stock of coin £30,497,000 reservo, £19,960,000; proportion of reserve to liabilities, 40.14; there was in circulation £29.991,000; public deposits amounted to £6,504,000; other deposits to £43,065,000; Government securities to £15,645,000; other securities to £31.927,000. \ MONEY MARKET. Three months'' bills nro discounted at 4 3-16 per cent, WHEAT. The whwt markets are tending upwards. Victorian March and April shipments, £1 9s 6d; parcels, February and March, £1 8s 9J. COPPER. Copper is firm. Spot, 78£: three months, 77?. TIN. Tin is firmer. Spot, 1401 ; three months, 139. IRON. . Iron, 7|. •LEAD. - Lend, 163; imports, 17,186 tons; Australian, 4372 tons exports, 552 tons. SILVER. Silver, 2s 3 7-16 d per oz. ' SUGAR. -' Sugar is firm. Gorman, 10s 3d; Java, 12s 6d. : WOOL. ; The Bradford wiol market is lifeless. Common sixties, 24 J; superior, 15J. ; r ,"' ...
