I There were in the lockup last evening six persons on charges of drunkenness; Thomas Keano, on a charge of disorderly conduct while drunk; George Miller,' arrested by Detective Bailey on a charge of false pretences; Herbert Leigh, arrested by |Constable Douthett, of Newton, on a charge of assaulting his father, John Leigh, with intent to do him grievous bodily harm; Adam McKeown and Harry Poulson, on a charge of theft at New Lynn of a bottle of whisky.
