Mr. Dlgby Smith, the purser, to whom we are indebted for late Suva papers, reports: The Tnvinni left Auckland on the 31st tilt., and arrived at Suva on the 4th inst. Discharged coal and general cargo, and left foe Levnka and coast porta at midnight on the sth. Called at Levuka, Cuvu, Rovadrciv and Navua, and finally left Suva for Auckland on the Otli. and arrived at 1.30 a.in. yesterday. Experienced strong east to south-east, winds and heavy swell from Auckland to Suva; light variable winds, smooth sea, and heavy rain during stay in the group; and light S.E. wind and smooth sea on the homeward trip. The Taviuni left for Wellington at 2.30 p.m. yesterday.

THE OMAPERE. The Union Company's steamer Omapere, Captain R. G. Ilntton, arrived from Wellington, Westport, and East Coast ports yesterday, Mr. John Lowe, the purser, reports that the steamer left Westport on the 6tl» Inst:, Napier on the Bth, and Gisborne on the 10th. Worked all the East Coast bays, and left Oreti Point at 4 p.m. on tho 13th. and arrived at noon yesterday. Experienced light to fresh variable winds along tho East Coast; thence fresh to light winds to arrival. The Oinapere leaves for East Coast ports and Wellington this evening.

TIIE ROSE CASEY. The 8.8. Rose Casey came up from Malmrang! yesterday, and was floated into the Auckland Dock last evening. On examination it was found that the injuries sustained by the steamer resting on a boulder in the river at Warkworth last Sunday were of a very trivial nature, being confined to a small crack In one of the plates on the bottom, and the steamer will take up her usual running to-morrow afternoon.

THE ASTERION. A barque was signalled outside of Tiritiri at sundown yesterday, but had not made the harbour up to an earlv houi this morning. Tho vessel will probably be the Asterion. from Baker's Island, via Apia, to this port, where she is coming for orders.

THE MOANA. The Union Company's mail steamer Moana, Captain M. Carey, arrived from San Francisco, Honolulu, and Apia early yesterday morning, bringing a number of passengers and the tibial consignments of American merchandise. The Moana is one day late on tho present voyage, she having been detained at San Francisco awaiting the arrival of the malls, which were detained crossing the American Continent. Mr. G. A. Hodson, the purser, to whom we are indebted for our flies and despatches, reports: The Moana left San Francisco at 8.7 p.m., cleared Golden Gate at 8.42 p.m.. and discharged the pilot at 9.50 p.m. on January 25. Anchored off the wharf at Honolulu at 6.32 p.m. on the Ist Inst. Landed passengers, mails,_ find cargo, but took no passengers or cargo on board, and the mails being fumigated before being received. Resumed the voyage at 4.15 p.m. the same date, and anchored in Apia Harbour at 5.45 a.m. on the Bth, and left again at 12.25 p.m. the same date. Passed Tiritiri at 4.30 a.m. yesterday, and anchored in the harbour at 5.45 a.m., berthing at the Queenstreet Wharf after inspection by tho health officer. The lime occupied on the voyage, in-, clndlng stoppages, was 18 days 9 hours 38 minutes, the actual steaming time being 17 days 20 hours 57 minutes. Light southerly winds and fine weather were experienced for the first 24 hours after leaving San Francisco, followed hv a moderate south-west gale and high sea, which continued until the 28th; thence to arrival at Honolulu moderate west-north-west winds and fine weather; thence to Apia moderate southeast trades, with trenerally fine weather, and passing showers; thence to arrival at Auckland light to moderate east-south-east and south winds and fine weather. The Moana proceeded on to Sydney shortly after 3 p.m. yesterday.

Yesterday morning the Union Company's steamer Dingadee arrived from Greymouth with a cargo of coal and coke. She leaves for Greymouth again to-morrow morning. The Northern Company's steamei Oairloch left for New Plymouth yesterday afternoon with the Southern portion of the inward San Francisco mail. Yesterday morning the Northern Company's steamer Glenelg left for Opunake and Wanganui.

Tile Northern Company's steamer Wellington left last night for Whangarei. Last night the Northern Company's steamer Muritai left for the Great Barrier.

The auxiliary schooner Medora left for the North last evening. Yesterday morning the barque Star of the East was towed out as far as Tiritiri by 1' tugboat Admiral, and sailed for New York favoured with a snlendid lair wind.

The Northern Company's steamer Oliiiiemnri leaves foi Whangapoua at 8 o'clock to night. On Tuesday the brigantine Linda Weber sailed from Mercury Bay for Sydney with a. cargo of timber shipped by tlio Kauri Timber Company. On discharge the brigantine proceeds to Port Stephens to load hardwood timber for Auckland. Tim barques Kathleen Hilda, from the Thames, and Wenona, from Kaiparn, both arrived at Melbourne on Monday last, and oil discharge proceed to Newcastle to load coal for Auckland.

On Mondov last the brig.mtine Defiance arrived nt Sydney from Brisbane, ami on discharge proceeds to Newcastle to load coal for Auckland. The barque Angalese was loading crura at Loma Ijoina. THE MARIPOSA. The American mail steamer Mariposa left Sydney for Auckland yesterday, and is due on Sunday afternoon nest. She proceeds to Apia, Honolnln, and Pan Francisco at noon on Monday.

THE TE ANAU.

The Union Company's steamer To Anau left Gisbornc for Auckland at 9 a.m. yesterday. and should arrive about the same hour to-day. She leaves for East Coast and Southern ports on noon on Saturday. _— ..i THE WESTRALIA.

The Ifuddart-Parker steamer Westralia left Sydney for Auckland last evening, and is due on Sunday night next.

THE TAVIUNI.

The Union Company's steamer Taviuni, Captain D. McLean, which arrived from Fiji early yesterday morning, as announced in the HERALD, was inspected by the health officer shortly after daylight yesterday, and granted pratique, berthing at the Queen-street Wharf.
