Phillips, commander, for an Excursion on the 29th January (Anniversary Day), tho proceeds to go to tlio Patriotic Fund in aid of the _ Widows, Orphans, and Wounded of the British and Colonial Forces engaged in the War ill boutll Africa. A Special Train to connect with the Comfortable Steamer Aotea, at Hclensville. will leave Auckland at 8.10 am., Newmarket 8.22, Mount Eden 8.30. reaching Belcnsville shortly after 10 a.m., returning from Helcnsvillo at 6 nm., arriving in Auckland at 7.10 p.m. The passengers will bo landed at Shelly Beach, a picturesque snot with several good nipi hanks in close vicinity, on the Kaipara Harbour, from whence steamer will return to connect with special train for Auckland. Tho steamer will also anchor on the Fishing Bank, and those excursionists who aro fond of schnapper fishing will be able to enjoy a delightful day's snort. Cold luncheon will be provided on the steamer by the Northern Union Steamboat Company at Is per head. The issue of Tickets will be limited, and can only ho obtained at Auckland. Newmarket, and Mount Eden Railway Stations. Through Roturn Fare (rail and steamer), 5s 6d. On MONDAY. January 29, the Goods Shed at Auckland will be Closed.
