Matters in connection with the yachting display to bo held tomorrow afternoon are proceeding satisfactorily, and there is overy prospect of tho display being a great sue cess, Yesterday the Premier was 'communicated with, asking that tho Government steamer Hmemqa might be allowed to take part in the proceedings, and a ronly was received (luring tho afternoon giving tho required permission if the steamer was in J port at the time. The services of three bands—Hunter's, Nowton, and the United I , ire Brigades'—have boon generously given for the occasion. The committee have arranged for the fine steamers Eagle, Osprey and Admiral, and tho Coastal Company s steamer Kapanui to leave tho Queen-street Wharf at a quarter-past two o'clock to-mor-row afternoon, and if necossary other steamers will bo available for excursionists. The I American yacht Noma, which is to act as : flagship, will bo meored between faneitoco , and tho Bean Rock lighthouse, and tho ' yaoht'races will bo started from that, position.
