A CAPITAL ISSUE. SPLENDID ILLUSTRATIONS. This week's number of the Auckland WEEKLY News, now on issue, contains the first picture published of the New Zealand contingent since their departure from the colony. The contingent is shown marching up the town of Albany, West Australia, headed by the Perth Garrison Band. The News contains another instalment of interesting pictures relating to the war, including a handsome half-page drawing, showing the manner in which pontoon bridges will have to be constructed in South Africa in order to enable our troops to advance. The Takapuna Jockey Club's Spring Meeting is illustrated with eight views, and a handsnme series of pictures of the recent floral fete at Waitara. Altogether this week's number of the News is a most varied and attractive one, and in addition to the usual features it contains the results of the polling at the genera! elections.
