A MASTERTON SENSATION
DARING BURGLARY.
FIVE PERSONS CHLOROFORMED. [BY TEMGEAPn.— PKESS ASSOCIATION".] Mastertox, Wednesday. An , extraordinary outrage occurred here e f an early hour this morning, when burglar* entered the residence of Mr. Jnmcs Coradine, in Perry-street, and chloroforming the whole of the inmates, five in number, robbed the house of all the money they could find, not touching watches, jewellery, or other articles. Altogether about £20 was secured. When the inmates were aroused, investigation showed that a linen rag satura. ted with chloroform had been placed on 01 near each sleeper. Mrs. Coradine, who j 8 a lisjlit sleeper, woke when touched and saw the forms of two men, but was rendered unconscious at once. The other inmates of the house were Joseph and William Whitaker, Mrs. Coradine's brother, and Ruth Burton. The police have no clue.
