Mr. Wills, the well-known tobacco manufacturer, has donated half-a-million cigarettes for. the wounded. , Bewlays' Company, another comdon firm of tobacconists, have given 21,000 cigars for the troops, .
HOSPITAL SHIPS. London, November 24. The balance of the Princess of Wales' old Soudan relief fund will be used for fitting a large hospital ship for the Transvaal with the latest appliances. The French Red Cross organisation has given medical instruments, and the Duke of Newcastle Ronrgcn apparatus, for the above-mentioned hospital ship. The London subscription towards the American hospital ship fund is £30,000. RUSSIAN DUTCH AND THE WAR. St. Petersburg, November 24. The Dutch residents in Russia have subscribed 55,000 roubles to send Russian doctors and nurses and 40 beds to the Transvaal. , I
