ITAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING 1 MEETING. The draft programme framed in connection with the spring meeting to be brought off by the Takapuni Jockey Club on December 2 and 6, has made its appearance, and the /fact of it showing added money to the extent of £1250, is proof that it is cast on liberal lines. The principal event of the opening day is the 'St. Andrew's Handicap of 200sovs, and on the second day the Spring Handicap has the liberal stake of 150sovs tacked on to it. The jumping races are well subsidised, £290 being allotted to races of that character, a steeplechase carrying lOOsovs as prize money. A two-year-old race of lOOsovs has been placed on the programme for the two-year-old division. Nominations oloso on November 10.

The committee of the Auckland Racing Club having considered the tonders lodged for catering at their meetings, that of Mr. A. F. Stilwell, of Parnell, has been accepted for their spring meeting.
